42,000 sqm Modular Agro-Processing Cluster in Thailand: Solar-Integrated Cold Storage and Thermal Efficiency

Engineered with higher yield-strength steel, the roof trusses support massive solar panel arrays, slashing daily power consumption.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Project Overview

Located in Thailand's central fruit-growing corridor, this 42,000 sqm multi-bay processing cluster is the core distribution node for tropical fruit exports across ASEAN. Tropical agricultural processors battle a constant economic headache: blistering outdoor humidity causing internal heat leakage, rotting expensive shipments of durian and mangoes before packaging. Operators fear soaring commercial electricity bills from constant refrigeration, heavy structural roof failures under tropical rainstorms, and costly delays that force them to miss the lucrative seasonal harvest window. Shijie Heavy Industry eliminated these fears by delivering an energy-efficient prefabricated steel portal frame cluster. Designed with multi-span modular sheds, the facility features reinforced roofs capable of supporting continuous photovoltaic solar panels to offset heavy refrigeration loads. High-performance PIR thermal cladding provides an airtight temperature boundary, eliminating condensation leaks. Pre-engineered bolted joints allowed the complex to be erected 30 days ahead of schedule, safeguarding millions in fresh harvest revenues.

01

Solar-Ready Structural Capacity

Engineered with higher yield-strength steel, the roof trusses support massive solar panel arrays, slashing daily power consumption.

02

Condensation-Free Thermal Barrier

Airtight PIR composite panels completely eliminate cold bridging, preventing roof condensation drips from spoiling fruit crates.

03

Optimized Fleet Cross-Docking

Wide-span column spacing provides ample clearance for automated sorting lines and fleets of cold-chain refrigerated delivery trucks.

04

Rapid Bolted Erection

Shop-fabricated components with clear piece-marking allowed rapid on-site assembly, handing over keys 30 days early before harvest cycles.

CLIENT VOICE

Handling perishable fruit in Thailand’s humid heat leaves zero room for structural defects. If our sorting warehouses lose refrigeration or allow roof condensation to drip onto our export packaging, entire shipments are ruined. Shijie Heavy Industry solved our logistical puzzle brilliantly. Looking across our sprawling multi-building processing hub, you immediately see an industrial layout designed for ultra-rapid turnover. Their engineering team reinforced the roof trusses so we could install continuous solar arrays across all sheds, reducing our energy bills by thirty-five percent. The thermal insulation of their PIR wall and roof panels is flawless; internal temperatures remain rock-solid regardless of the midday sun. Furthermore, every steel girder arrived pre-drilled, allowing our assembly crew to bolt the cluster together in record time. Finishing 30 days ahead of schedule let us start packing right at the peak of the fruit season. Shijie is a partner of exceptional quality!
