Heavy Cruciform Column Framework for Dynamic-Load Mining Facility in Tanzania
To be confirmed

Project Overview
In Tanzania's heavy industrial zone, a large mining processing plant required a structure capable of enduring the immense dynamic impact loads from massive overhead cranes operating day and night. Standard H-beams were insufficient. Shijie Heavy Industry manufactured heavy cruciform columns specifically for this project, utilizing our highest-spec Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) and achieving 100% UT testing compliance. Faced with extremely tall and heavy components, our logistics team ingeniously utilized Out-of-Gauge (OOG) flat racks to safely and smoothly navigate these heavy "beasts" through the Port of Dar es Salaam to the client's site.

Building a mineral processing plant is vastly different from a standard warehouse. We are running massive overhead cranes that generate terrifying dynamic forces, which is why our structural blueprint strictly demanded heavy cruciform columns. Finding a fabricator capable of handling this level of heavy engineering was tough. Shijie Heavy Industry proved their absolute capability. They delivered flawless SAW welds, and seeing the 100% UT testing compliance reports gave our engineering board complete peace of mind. What truly impressed me, however, was their logistics execution. Shipping 20-ton oversized columns into the Port of Dar es Salaam is a major logistics challenge, but Shijie’s OOG flat rack shipping and robust lashing were incredibly reliable. Everything arrived completely safe and undeformed. A premier heavy steel partner for Africa.
